The White House Visitor Center features both dramatic moments of public ceremony and the inner workings of the White House through the eyes of the people involved in preparing for functions and ceremonies such as state dinners and ballet performances. Exhibits explore the White House’s primary function as a residence for the President and his family, how the White House functions as the seat of American executive power, and how the White House has changed over time, reflecting the growth of the offices and the changes in administration.
