Color-Ad was responsible for fabricating and installing all exhibit elements for the Grand Canyon National Park. We provided an interpretive and interactive experience for the Visitor Center exhibition area and the Outdoor Information Kiosks. Because of the Visitor Center’s heavy visitation, all exhibit elements were designed, engineered, and fabricated to withstand traffic levels of hundreds of visitors hourly. All interactive elements were made to be sturdy enough to withstand constant and sometimes rough operation and frequent, hopefully unintentional, abuse from children and thoughtless adults.
Color-Ad produced original replicas, models, props, interactives, audiovisual programs, and artwork. Our craftsmen fabricated tactile models and a large scale topographic map, interactive flipbooks, low-tech mechanical interactives, exhibit structures and casework, various graphic media, and AV programs and hardware integration.
