Color-Ad was responsible for providing the fabrication and installation of exhibits for the Kennecott Mines National Landmark in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve. All exhibits adhered to universal design principles to create barrier free access to the public areas while at the same time retaining the historic character of the site. We provided exhibits, historic furnishings and enhanced orientation modifications throughout 16 historic buildings in the Mill Town. The majority of the exhibits were located outside, exposed to the elements or in non-climate controlled buildings. All of our components had to be able to withstand harsh year-round weather and fluctuations in the temperature.
All work was completed in compliance with strict archaeological and historic architecture requirements for preserving historic elements, fabrics, and artifacts.
