Color-Ad was responsible for providing overall exhibit fabrication, audio description, and installation for exhibits at the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial, a unit of the George Washington Memorial Parkway. The exhibit gives accessibility to learn about the battle of Iwo Jima in World War II and the Marines who served throughout the Corps’ history in an easy-to-digest manner. To make sure everything was in full reach of all visitors, on-site mock-ups were created and tested at the memorial site, where it was confirmed to be accessible, compatible, and readable.
We produced and provided ten wayside signs, three bronze tactile maps and models, and solar powered audio units with audio descriptions. These exhibits required precision in order to make sure they were engaging to all visitors to the memorial.
